About Us

My name is Melissa Doan and I am the School Counselor at Westminster Elementary.  I have worked within the Carroll County Public School system for over 20 years.
 
I have a dual Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling and School Counseling and I also earned an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. In addition to my graduate degrees I hold state licensure to practice as a school psychologist and as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

I love working with elementary aged students and I am extremely excited to be here and be a part of such a wonderful school and community.

As the School Counselor my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the students, families, staff, and community.
